The notorious beer that everyone in the UK loves, hates, but at least knows. Ostensibly a Spanish beer "de Madrid", I never saw this anywhere in Spain. Naturally, I see it is brewed in the UK. #scopesfile

33 cl bottle served in a Teku glass. A cloudy amber to orange pour with a short-lived, off-white head. Aroma is orange drop, cardamom, honey, dry apricots, and a note of dust. Dry, full-bodied, fizzy, ester-y, clear artificial sweeteners on the finish, yet not overly cloying. Zero bitterness.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque deep orangey golden with a solid, white head. Rather fruity nose. Medium body, quite fizzy. Citric with an underlying lactic tartness. No real bitterness. In spite of being from a macro, the beer is obviously infected. 240324

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a smallish, rough off-white head. Caramelly nose with some piney - if somewhat tired - hops. Medium-bodied, very sweet fruitiness and caramel. Somewhat rough and bitter finish. 200324

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a dissipating, beige head. Distinct pumpkin pie spice aroma. Medium body, quite fizzy. Very sweet, caramel and brown sugar agin with some pumpkin spice. No bitterness. That carbonation is really annoying. 200324
