Cbc que bottle. Thanks Barak. Beer country #148. Clear golden color, small steady white head. Aroma of grass and hemp. Sweetish corn maltyness. Clean but boring flavor.

Really surprised to see this on a cruise liner (MS Balmoral, a Fred Olsen ship). I had a couple of cans while sailing down from San Diego down towards the Panama canal. Typical lager/pilsner look, clean, clear and golden with a thinning white cap on top. Very little aroma, although I thought I detected corn, other unknown grains and a metallic hint: all three of those ideas arrived in the taste though. I wasn’t overly impressed to be honest, but had a second can a few days later just to make sure I wasn’t being unkind or had an iffy can the first time, I hadn’t. Not the worst lager in the world but it is not a long way from such an accolade. Wasn’t even refreshing really.

Bottle, stable bubbly fluffy head, strong prickley carbonation, clear and a bit dark gold colour, aroma of wet paper, metalic notes, herbs and a touch of maltiness on the back light malty honey flavour, strange sourness, extremely dry. Just drinkable.

Bottle, shared by gunnar. A clear, pale yellowish golden beer with a minimal sized white head. The aroma is very weak, some pear and apple-like fruityness, and the faintest maltyness only. The flavor pretty much the same, lacking on bitterness, but with a touch of wet cardboard. Thin on the palate, low carbonation level. Short, faintly bitter finish. Definitely not a beer I need to have again. 140305

Canned. Clear pale golden, small head. Fruity grassy nose. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some grass and bread, surprisingly little alcohol flavour. Light peppery heat in the finish.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Clear gold beer with a small white head. Smooth palate. Fairly sweet malts. Whisper of citrus. Mild minerals. Finishes smooth and dry. Pretty inoffensive with no big off notes. Hides the abv well. Really not bad!

Can from Kenneth. It pours hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, icing sugar, candy and sweet apple. The taste is quite sweet, icing sugar, corn, cereal, apple and pear. Medium body and fine carbonation. Straight-forward, smooth and sweet. Quite clean actually. For a malt likka this is top notch!

Can at Bruce’s in London - massive thanks to Ken for sourcing this beast. Pours clear gold with a fine, foamy white head. Rich sugary bread in the aroma. Medium sweet flavor with dry bread, some corn, cereal. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet finish, slight metallic notes, bread, cereal. Pretty well balanced for a malt likka. Not at all cloying, not boozy. This is what a malt liquor should be.
