Draft. A very dark brown beer - almost black, with a red shine. The aroma is sweet chocolate combined with strong notes of berries, but also hints of acidity. The flavor is sweet, but again with a hint of acidity, is the acidity a flaw, is it over the top, or is it due to the vast amount roasted malt? It also has strong notes of chocolate, and hints of the alcohol. The end is dry and roasted.

Bottled. Clear, dark brown beer with a small tan head. Weak nose, with some lightly roasted malt and coffee. The coffee can be found in the flavor as well, along with some fruityness. Thin to medium mouthfeel. A pleasant, quaffable but boring beer. (061207)

Bottled. Clear, golden with an off-white head. Weak aroma with malt and fruity notes. A bit sweet-flavored, not much else, but drikable. Medium body and a sweet and fruity finish. A boring beer. (061207)
