Head reduced to whitish rim; orange-brown, hazy beer (?golden ale??). Dusty nose, chaff, some spices and some chocolate. Extremely nutty taste, dry hazelnuts, Brazil nuts and walnut oil. Old beer? No BBd in sight but doesn’t look the part. Malty, no trace of spices in the taste. Mineral water MF, some grainy, even dusty texture. Nowhere bad, but very unexciting. Nose of quite rich fruitcake -with spices, going over in German Dunkel-like bready aromas, bit buttery as well. Dry bitterish/spicey - VERY spicey - taste, pure soft gingerbread with cinnamon & cloves in abundance. Very discreet cookie-like sweetness. Somewhere there’s some tannines? Fairly well-bodied at first glance; some slickness, probably the spices. But somewhere there’s a thinnish texture lurking. Nice, not too sweet, but maybe a tad too heavy on the spices. We got the idea, Juul is winter ale, no need for a drawing...

A hazy orange beer with a small disappearing white head. The aroma is dominated by honey from clover. While the flavor also is dominated by honey but combined with notes of straw. But the body is extremely thin.

Rerate, as "Vinhandlerens Eget Bryg Crimson Ale", RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Jesus - is this REALLY the same beer?? Reddish (crimson) colour, low head. Vinous sweet & sour aroma and flavour. Not bad. Original rating: (330 ml bottle). Copper coloured, a slight haziness, moderate but relatively thick beige head. Malty sweet aroma, caramel. Flavour is again malty sweet with some caramel - definitely too sweet. One-dimensional. Thin mouthfeel despite the sweetness. The brewers claim they have used "organic grown hops" - maybe those hops were organic to a degree that they were left to rot on their stems, ’cause there sure is no trace that any of them have been used in this beer! Very disappointing. Rating 2.1

Nice chokolate/coffee aroma, this is were this beer has it´s forces. Virtuallly no head, but splendid darkbrown colour. It has a long finish but alas a bit sour.. it´s a creamy soft carbonated beer.

Little or no head; dark brown beer, carbonated like an aged beer. Burnt, caramelized nose, chocolate, brown bread. Mild toasted bread taste, a bit sweet at first, but gradually bitter builds up, not from hops but from dark malts. Not very refined. Warming up, I get again oxydised notes. Bit dryish, powdery, burnt, rather thin texture. Strange - OK for a brown, not exactly my favourite style.

Roasted malt and fruit (blueberries obviously) Cloudy brown, low carbonation,nice creamy head. Roasted malt, a hint chocolate, quite fruity flavors (blue and strawberries, apples). Solid body, smooth mouthfeel. I think this is the first non-kriek fruitbeer I really liked.

Nutty roasted and caramelly malt nose. Red chestnut, low head. Caramel, dark sugar, fruity notes, bits of wood and pipe tobacco, lingering malt aftertaste. Slightly sparkly, yet rich warming body. Full taste, but deceptively easy to drink.

Dark amber ale. Rich caramel aroma with a hint of smoke and tobacco. Rich caramel flavour with a long, malty finish.
