Pours clear, deep red with a rich head. Spicy aroma with notes of dried plums, licorice and nutmeg. Smooth mouth feel. Rich flavour of red wine, oak casks and "glögg". Alkohol is well hidden.

Brun med rødskjær klar med beige skum. Lukter kongen av Danmark drops og noe lys karamell. Fyldig. Smaker julekrydder, svart pepper, lett brent karamell og belgisk gjær. Middels lang.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Ruby-brown with small beige head, Ok retention. Aroma has a sweet malt, nuts, treacle, hint of spice. Taste has a moreish brioche like malt with some chocolate, treacle and sultanas. Medium bodied, fine lively carbonation - goes down well. Very nice.

Bottle from Honest Brew. Pours a cloudy dark gold with moderate sized white head Aroma of sweet malts, yeast, banana, bread, spice. Taste is quite fruity with a tang to it, yeast, citrus zest, bread, grassy bitter finish, light alcohol warmth. Medium bodied, high but fine carbonation. Good.

Bottle at the PS Belgian Tasting, 6/8/24. Orange amber, thin off-white head, average retention. Aroma of stone fruit, floral, bready malt. Taste is stone fruit, candi sugar, cotton candy, yeast, coriander. Dry, spicy.
