bottle @ the Bierhaus Cork, after trying to find a least the smallest trace of a hoppy beer in Ireland for closing in on a week, this was delicious, but put up against its American equivalent, this beer doesnt have the complexity to compete. A good hoppy beer, but really its in the ABV that this beer falls short, anyone who likes pale ale or just hoppy beer in general will be used to a higher ABV and this falls short, good session ber however.

2006. On tap in Dublin. Frothy pale wheat beer. Intense bubblegum flavour, more so than any other wheat beer I’ve tried before or since. Remarkable flavour!

Draught at Porterhouse Central, Nassau Street, Dublin. Dark tawny brown with a creamy cream head; coffee aroma; milky texture with some subdued caramel malts and rich heavy roasted coffee malts; bitter and dry coffee finish. An excellent stout.

Draft at 6% ABV. A hazy brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, bread, and phenol from the yeast. The flavor is very sweet with notes of phenols, caramel, bread, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish where a note of caramel lingers. Not clean enough for a Bock.

From tap at Charlies, Copenhagen as Dublin Red Connolly, porterhouse brewery ireland. clear red, smooth thick vanilla head. faint mild slightly fruity aroma. flavor is fruity, "red" red berry sweet, very mild and round. it reminds me a lot of guinness in softness and palate even taste, only the flavor is more red berryish and a lot less stoutish than guinness.
