3rd July 2024 CBJ Tasting. Huge thanks to the guys from Haarlem Hops for the bottle. Near opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Big creamy dark chocolate and mellow coffee, soft but strong. Nutty fruity dark chocolate. Almost Cadbury's fruit and nut. Lovely.
Three check in, three different dogs! 🇷🇴 beat 🇺🇦 3-0 this morning, while 🇸🇰 took down 🇧🇪 1-0 in the afternoon match. Fox is doing a horrible job with the coverage so far.
This is similar ton the previous Quartet, but a bit fresher.
Remy is here for a week or so, you may remember her from my TBBW festivities back in March. You get the Nelson on the nose, more lemon/lime, floral, clean, foamy mouthfeel. Really good. My first offering from OCBC.
Bottle: bright red with pinkish white head. Grapey, woody, green bell pepper undertone. Taste is sour, lightly sweet, winy, woody. Not too acidic. Quite good.
