On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. Fairly smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant and well balanced medium dry and roasty flavour, distinct notes of liquorice but not the least overdone, also hints of coffee and dark chocolate, moderate hops. I’m quite ready for another one.

330 ml bottle from Meny Vågsbgd. Clear golden body with lively carbonation under a big, creamy white head. Aroma is more than less classic pilsner e.g. pale malt, grain and grassy/floral hops, but in addition a hint of fresh fruit. The flavor stands out a bit more, super refreshing pilsner style with a bit more refreshing fruit and good bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste with more obvious bitterness. It’s a slightly different pilsner, but still within the classic style. Normally I’m a bit sceptic to the microbrewed pilsner as I believe this style is done best by some of the traditional breweries, but I found this quite nice actually.

200ml draught at Cafe Sara. Solid lacing from a slowly diminishing tan-coloured head. Deep rosewood coloured body. Roasted dark malty aromas with liquorice. Creamy chocolate flavour joined by mid-sweet liquorice. Rounded, roasted bitter ending. Fine bodied. Likable (Oslo 16.05.2016).

Fra fat på Mi2 mai-16: lett uklar, lys gylden med mye skum. Citrus, gule epler, litt honning og krydder i smak og aroma. Myk og behagelig, men i søteste laget til å bli en sommer-pøseøl for meg.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.05.16. Hazy straw colour. Quite small head. Sweetish aroma with yellow apples and honey. Similarly sweet taste, also with herbs.

On tap, as Quart Witra Wit, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pale golden color, only slightly hazy. Moderate white head. Nice and strong sweetish aroma with notes of flowers, honey, citrus and coriander. The flavour is medium sweet, again with notes of honey, citrus and moderate coriander. Very moderate hops. Not as great as the Citra Delight, but pleasant enough to drink.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Clear golden colour, large to moderate head. Lovely aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. The flavour is medium dry, well hopped throughout with fruity notes, and very refreshing. Moderately bitter finish. A winner from Qvart this one.
