Bottle. Second batch of this beer. An almost clear one, brown in colour and with a dense, finger thick beige head on top. The aroma is quite roasted, with some coffee grit and dark chocolate. Hints of prunes. It’s full to medium bodied, soft and pleasantly carbonated. Semi-dry, with some sweetness but also a nice bitterness. Roasted malts, caramel, nuts and some hints of dark chocolate and coffee. Lasting finish. Tasteful and easy drinkable, sure a beer to repeat, and certainly improved compared to the first batch, which wasn’t bad either. 150722

Bottle. The one and only bottle made. A lightly unclear one, dark orange-golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white to light beige colored head. The aroma hits the nose already while pouring, with lots of peaches and a generic tropical fruitiness. There’s some faint pale malts in the back and a hint of pine cones. It has a pleasant bitterness, even though I personally wouldn’t mind a bit more. There’s some residual sweetness and flavors of pale malts, but it’s fruity, tropical and lightly piney hops that dominates. It’s more or less full-bodied, with a soft carbonation, semi-dry. Lasting bitter and piney finish with a good dash of tropical fruits and peaches. A delicious beer I could drink over and over again. 150714

On tap at Haandverkeren. A lightly hazy golden beer with a dense two finger off-white head leaving curtains. Quite grainy on the nose, but in a nice way. Mostly on the fruity side though, with some peaches, oranges and touch of pine cones. It’s dry and very smooth on the palate, pleasantly carbonated. The flavor has a nice bitterness, not much sweetness, and a nice malt flavor along with lots of hops. Grapefruit, pine cones and a nice touch of oranges and peaches. Lasting finish. An easy drinkable beer that I could easily have a few of anytime. 150711

Bottle. An unclear, dark golden beer with a small, dense, white head leaving some curtains. It’s rather fruity in the nose, with peaches, vague hints of banana and canned fruit syrup, and a touch of malts. It’s medium to full bodied with a tad too much carbonation. It’s rather low on bitterness, but at least it’s far from cloying. Mostly fruity flavor too, with the same canned fruit syrup and peaches known from the aroma. Rather much pale wort and grains. Long fruity finish. A well brewed beer that drinks easy, but is too much focused on satisfying the pale lager people. But hey, most breweries need one of these in the lineup. 150707

Bottle. It’s a hazy, dark golden-orange beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is quite malty and fruity, with some piney and peppery hints. Canned peaches and some banana. It’s fruity in the flavor too, sweet canned peaches, some malty notes in the back and a very soft bitterness. Medium body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting fruity finish. A quenching and easy drinkable straightforward saison that has improved a good deal since it’s release. Original rating was 6-3-6-4-13-3.1, I raised my score without spending time editing my notes. On tap at Håndverkeren. Guess this one’s an excellent choice for number 16000 as I was one of the founders of this brewery, which I ended up leaving some months ago. It was also the first beer we made and released, so a big milestone it was. And a fantastic feeling getting the brewery up and running. Well, I really liked this one, the hop is doing a great job, and keeps the malts in the back. It’s lightly unclear in the glass, dark golden in color and with a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacework. Grapefruit, pine cones and some tropical fruits in the aroma. There’s a pleasant and not pushing bitterness, some sweetness in the back, with light biscuity malts and a faint umami touch. It’s full-bodied, nicely carbonated, and finishing with a fine blend of bitterness, grapefruit and pale malt notes. Not a fantastic one in a million beer, but a lovely IPA that slakes the thirst, quenches and tastes and smell lovely. Hope they decide to brew it again. 150704

Bottle 330ml. [ As Qvart Session IPA ].[ Trade by yngwie ]. Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus, fruity, grassy, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20151121]

Kick 061115. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, spices. Flavour is spices, berries, roasted malt, vanilla, tonka, caramel. Nice beer.

On tap @ Både &. Slightly foggy golden body with a small, lacing off-white head. Quite fruity and plum in aroma with spicy yeast and some ripe fruit. Flavor is refreshing fruity, pale malt, spicy, yeast, a bit less plum than expected from aroma and decent bitterness. Fine balanced body and rather long lasting fruity/plum spicy and bitter aftertaste. Quite an unusually brew this, definitively not a fruit beer, more like a beer with a certain fruity flavor added. It took me a couple of pints to figure out this one and that’s a positive thing as there are too many beers out there now tasting more juice than beer. Sure a nice surprise and it works for me.
