Huge white tight bubbly head stayed on a highly effervescent dark golden body. Orange, bitter/sweet citrus, spice & pith aroma. Medium to full bodied, sharp on the tongue with sticky back. Marmalade, orange, pith, spices & hops with sweeter tangy finish.

Cloudy deep amber to brown. Small head. Nose: dates and figs, peach, dark malts, candy, vinous notes. Full body. Taste: medium sweet, malty, fruity, estery. Warming alcohol. Low to light bitterness. Good quad. Maybe you could easily find some more refined ones. It still makes me happy.

Frothy white head stayed well on a highly carbonated dark golden body. Belgian yeast, citrus & orange aroma. Medium bodied, tingly over the palate & soft clean back. Bitter/Sweet tastes with yeast, orange, spices & pepper followed by a tangy fruity finish.

Samarath is is a new try at a new place, Delerium in Amsterdam, NL. Recommended by the bartender, why not. It arrives in a very cool glass in a almost black liquid with an eggshell white head. A small drink then a bigger one, cotton candy sweet, licorice, figs, toffee, quite decent. A Holland thing I am sure never to see again. Nice.

Pours lightly hazy gold with an off-white head. The mild aroma has some fruity esters. It has a somewhat sweet flavor with fruity character up front and a hoppy finish. This has more fruit and less saison character than I expected. It kind of seems oxidized. It's fairly good anyway, but I'm wondering if this is how it consistently tastes.
