Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours clear light gold. Aroma is somewhat tart pear - like skin. Not too thin for perry. It starts a little sweet, moves to ripe pear and ends tart like skin. Decent drink.

Very pale golden with no discernible head. Aroma is lightly sugary sweet, apple, light tartness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, a little syrupy. Flavor has lightly tart apple, sugary sweetness. Easy going but pretty tasty.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a very pale golden color with a mild bit of fizz that fades instantly. Aroma of dark apples, brown sugar and a tart apple finish. The taste is dry, tart apples, some grainy apple a bit of sweetness. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Not bad but it falls a little flat.

Bomber from Total Wine Virginia Beach. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a hint of head. Aroma of tart pears, vinous, with a sweet finish. The taste is sweet pears, apples and a lightly tart finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Crystal clear, very light golden coloured body with a pale glow and no head at all - not even a soda head that dies quickly. Aroma of mint, cardboard, funk, old washclothes, wet towels and not much else. Light-bodied; Minor taste of alcohol, granny smith apples, a touch of yeast, some light sugars and not much else. Aftertaste is fairly similar - some nice apple sweetness, but no depth nor complexity, this one is pretty one-dimensional and not in a great way. Overall, not really worth trying and definitely not worth searching out for - nor spending a lot of money on. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Falls Church (Tyson’s Corner), Virginia on 31-October-2012 for US$3.49 sampled at home in Washington on 11-November-2012.

Even mix of apple, mint, and lemongrass. Crystal clear yellow. Tart apple flavor, funky phenols. Subtle fresh mint notes are detected. The phenols come awfully close to what I would identify as a flaw. Were this labeled a farmhouse cider, I would accept it as that. Since it is not, I suspect there may be an unintended infection in this sample. Either way, it is pleasant and enjoyable. I wonder if this cidery ever employs wild yeast?

Vinegar and apple aroma. Crystal clear pale yellow, little visible carbonation. Apple flavor, vinegar prominent but not overpowering.Not so great.

Bomber from Beer Run. I believe this is the first time I’ve ever had a hopped cider. Pours a clear amber color with no head. Aroma of tart apples, apple skins, floral and peppery hops. The taste is tart apples and herbal hops. Medium bodied. Interesting, but I can’t say I’m a fan of this concept.

Batch 19 bottle from New Beer. Served in a rounded tumbler. Clear, fizzy, bright, pale wheat body. Grassy, skin-y, minty, juicy apple scent. Fleshy, chalky apple flavor. Sweet, but not abusively so. Green pear perfume starts to come up on me. Moderately acidic. Skin. Low carbonation. Some leftover yeast. Not quite, quite considered thin. Subtle minty tartness & alcohol on the finish. A surprisingly decent 6-pack-style cider made on the cheap from casual supermarket produce.

8/3/12. 12ozer from New Beer. Poured into a lowball. Pale gold, lacquered, & spritzy. Smells like macerated floral/catty hops & fuel. Taste is bittersweet. Lettuce-y. Hops overwhelm the underpowered, faintly tangy supermarket apples, but aren’t themselves that potent. Faint to low carbonation. Mouthwash finish. Didn’t sit well with me. Had this once last year on tap, & besides probably using different apples, the hops didn’t suffocate it right out the gate either.
