Description
Yards has been brewing Philly's beer since 1994. We’ve grown from a garage-sized operation in Manayunk all the way up to our current location at 500 Spring Garden Street in Northern Liberties. And we couldn't have done it without your support through the years. Our beers always have and always will be brewed, bottled, kegged, and canned for the hard working people of Philadelphia and beyond.

Draft at World of Beer, dark brown and full bodied with big vanilla nose. Caramel and bourbon dominate the flavor, and the finish is sweet malt. Very nice porter.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was sweet citrus, tropical fruit and yeast. The flavor was bitter and tangy with notes of tangerine, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit and a bit of bread. Medium length mixed hop finish. medium body. Pleasant.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy, pale amber with a small, off-white head. Surprisingly little aroma, I just smell sugar and booze. Rich, sweet body, some subtle fruit and even more subtle caramel, there’s not exactly a ton of flavours here. Ends with some balancing hops and quite some booze. It’s a Barley Wine lacking a lot in sophistication, but if you just wanna get wasted in a very short time you’ll fid this more than adequate. 071016

Sampled on draft at Piper’s Pub this beer poured a bright golden color with a small soapy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was tart and citric. The flavor was tart and tangy with lemon, grapefruit and almost perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body but s bit flat. Meh.
