Bügelverschlußflasche: Mahagony coloured, hazy, medium-sized off-white head, quickly collapsing; presumably infected: fruity-estery with traces of sour-mash, dark malt and caramel; moderate sweetish flavour, light bodied; caramelly fruity finish. No pleasure, deserves a second chance.....

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden coloured, a bit hazy; smaller, but rather stable off-white head; distinctive sweetish-grainy nose with a touch of mash or wort; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft MF, light to medium-bodied; first sweetish-malty-worty finish, followed by a light, but distinctive bitterness in the aftertaste. Far above the average of most of the "new" german micros...

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured with a slight haze, fluffy white head; oaky hops (maybe sulphur, too) in the slightly malty nose; solid bitter flavour, soft, smooth MF; robust bitter-sweet finish with hoppy aromas in the aftertaste. A well done brew.....

Bügelverschlußflasche: Light hazy, deep golden coloured with a quite firm white head and a good lace; distinctive worty-grainy nose with some herbal hops in the wings; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering bitter-sweet finish. A fine example of that style.......

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy black with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Burned malt aroma and a whiff of acidity. Medium body with good, hard roasted malt accents and a vaguely fusty edge. Lightly vinous touches. A distinct malt bitterness. The least - oh joy - infected of the 4 Ricklinger beers I tried today - but not clean. Courtesy of Elisabeth. 150207

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy amber colour with a tiny, off-white head. Sweetish caramel in the nose and some alcohol. Fairly full body with some caramel and alcohol and then - again - this tedious acidity which is very distinct in this brew. Is their bottling line infected? Courtesy of Elisabeth. 150207
