Description
It started on Plaza Drive in New Albany, Indiana, with Sportstime Pizza in 1987 (now the NABC Pizzeria), followed by Rich O’s (NABC Public House) in 1990, the incorporation of the New Albanian Brewing Company in 1994 and the launch of the original New Albanian Brewery in 2002 (the first commercial brewery in New Albany since 1935). The Pizzeria & Public House are still going strong.
In New Albania, beer is a way of life. NABC stands for a quarter-century of experience, education, recognition and success. Not only that, but our machines kill fascists, too.
Now more than ever before, we ask: Can your beer do that?

5 oz sample draft at the New Albanian Pizzeria and Public House in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is dark brown, hazy, with a tan head. The aroma as roast malt, pine hop and a light cocoa sweetness. The taste is the roast, bitter dark chocolate, and pine and grass in the finish. The palate is medium to light bodied, mineral dry finish. Nice stout, easy drinking.

5 oz sample draft at the New Albanian Pizzeria and Public House in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is mostly clear golden orange with a white head with great lacing. The aroma is a nice floral resin hop balanced nicely with base malt. The taste has the same balance of hop and malt, with the hop showing resinous floral and a light sweetness from the malt. The palate is medium to light bodied, with soft carbonation and a dry lightly bitter finish. Nice Pale Ale.

Nonic pint draft at the New Albanian Pizzeria and Public House in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is clear darker golden with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is herbal floral yeast along with a base of cracker malt. The taste is an interesting mix of the herbal floral elements and the Belgian yeast - very much in the mode of the Belgian Single. The palate is light bodied, soft carbonation and yeast finish. Got a bit thin as the beer warmed. Nice.

5 oz sample draft at the New Albanian Pizzeria and Public House in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is clear golden with a loose white head. The aroma is nice bright floral and grapefruit citrus. The taste is the nose, big on the floral citrus hops and a bit of a fresh crack malt. The palate was light bodied, dry finish. Solid session IPA, though it was a bit one dimensional with the grapefruit flavor as it warmed.

5 oz sample draft at the New Albanian Pizzeria and Public House in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is a slightly hazed copper reddish with a light tan head. The aroma is big malt grain, warm cereal. The taste is big on the grain, cereal fresh, lightly caramel along with a bright, almost chemical astringent bitterness. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, and a bit of alcohol heat on the dry finish particularly as the warmed. This was well made though not totally my type of beer.

Draft sample @ Ft. Wayne Oktobeerfest. Oaky boozy bourbon and vanilla aroma. Hazy honey gold with a small off-white head. Woody bourbon, sweet caramel, and vanilla flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. I was really surprised at the lack of perceived hops flavor. I was just getting lots of bourbon and vanilla.
