Bottle onboard Viking Lines ferry M/S Amorella between Finland and Sweden in May 2011. Dark amber with a large white head. Fruity aroma with caramel and bread. The same in the taste. Medium carbonation and body. Not that bitter. An ok beer from Åland.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a nice-looking clear, amber body and a small, firm off-white head. The aroma has a pleasant, subtle blend of hops and pale malts, hints of caramel chimes in. The flavor has caramel maltyness, fruits and some grains, a fine bitterness too. Medium body, smooth and dry. The finish is short, with the same flavors found initially. Not bad. 110128

(Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, 20110505) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had pine needles, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, grass, pine, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, white bread and bitterness. A really pleasant surprise from Stallhagen.

Dark amber color, good cloudy beige head, lots of lace. Berryish, sweetish nose with hayish, fresh hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Backbone is sweetish, berryish malty. Hayish-grassy, "green" hoppyness dominates. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Well, not typical Stallhagen brew, they have clearly stepped out of their "comfort zone" ... suprisingly tasty ale.

Thanks mbjork! Clear amber color, small white head. Caramelly, toffeish, bready aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Bready, caramelly, a bit worty, not very bitter. Quite close to German märzens and some other Stallhagen brews.
