Sampled draught at Svensk Fatölsfestival, Nynäshamn
Cloudy apricot orange. Light grassy, flowery aroma. Sweet, sugary, maltiness leading to a harsh, grasyy, very bitter finish. Too sweet for me.

A brown unclear beer with no head. The aroma is too sweet (for my liking) with strong fruit notes. The aroma is weird, pretty sweet, but dies out way too fast. Too sweet for a dubbel - and watery in the end.

An unclear dark red beer with no head. The aroma is alcoholic, malty, and very sweet. The flavor is slightly alcoholic, with a sharpness and powerful taste. A really good and complex flavor.

Black color; huge brownish head. Nice aroma of dark chocolate, dark caramel, tar. Round body; the age has smoothered the corners, the mouthfeel is very smooth, yet powerful; strong dark chocolate flavor, with some pleasant bitterness, evident also because the bitterness is quite low; it has a piquant character, and the alcohol presence is pleasant. Very good.

2010-02-21, vintage 2009, 9% ABV, 6-4-8-5-15=38
Black color; the head reduces to a thin layer, quickly; interesting to notice, this year the bottle and label are different, and the beer is filtered. Very light caramel aroma, and ashes. Medium strength body, it has a sweetish caramel flavor with some chocolate. Good bitterness level, balanced till the end. Pleasant brew, but missing some vibes, difficult to relate it to the 2005 vintage tasted side to side.
An Imperial Mild.

Black color; the head reduces to a thin layer, quickly; interesting to notice, compared to the newer vintage this bottle still has a yeast deposit. The aroma is mild, mostly playing with chocolate notes, there is also very light roasted malt and honey. Correct body strength, even if it has a lean mouthfeel, the chocolate, caramel and roasted malt flavors blend well, to create a very pleasant composition, that doesn’t suffer from the ageing; it’s a bit drier and clearly less sweet than the 2009 vintage. In the final, yet well balanced, some of the bitterness is replaced by an additional alcohol warmth.
Very good.

Dark color. Deep aroma, of malt, roasted malt, liquorice, light phenol. Smooth, full malty, liquorice, thick, oily, a lot of caramel, not so much alcohol. Long and extremely strong final, the bitterness is completed by the caramel and light liquorice. Well round beer, excellent; it must reach a higher level within a couple of years.

A black beer with a fine light brown head. The aroma is slightly smoked and sweet - too sweet for a stout. The flavor is smoked, sweet from a good maltblend, and slightly bitter. It is not stouty enough - I was a little disappointed.

An amber beer with no head. The aroma is slightly sour and a little sweet - as if it has been brewed on brewing cereal. The flavor is very malty sweet - of an OK maltblend - but not really a special flavor. An OK beer - but nothing compared to other Slottskällans beers.

A light brown beer with an OK though fast disappearing head. The aroma is a very sweet and complex malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, malty, and slightly bitter. A fine beer though a little thin compared to my expectation.

A dark red beer with a small fast diappearing head. The aroma is lovely sweet with notes of cowberries. The flavor is somewhat thin with notes of cowberries and sweetness. Not what I will call an Irish red - way too thin. But still a nice beer.
