Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm. Hazy golden, rocky head. Citric nose with oraneg peels and concentrated hay. Medium sweet with clean, chewy malt profile. medium bodied with a hefty dose of English hops and a long, dusty bitter finish. Though heavier hopped than other Skebo beers it still remains firmly balanced.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm
Light amber color. Simple aroma, but with a hint of hops. The flavor is quite simple too, based on dry caramel, with some malt and some residual sweetness, but also with a bold bitterness, and actually quite well brewed.

Draught at MacKinley’s Inn, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, majestic head. Aroma of hay and dates. Fairly sweet with solid, malty body, a fair amount of hay- and flower-like English style hops dries it out. The malt profile is chewy, but rather clean. Resiny bitter finish. A well balanced beer with nice flavours - I’d still like the malt to be a bit softer to get more out of it

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm, 19 Nov 2007) Very dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and spicy hints of ... celeriac (?). Roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, nuts, milk chocolate and balanced bitterness in the finish. Fairly thin body. Decent porter, but lacking something extra.

(Draught at MacKinlay’s, Stockholm, 10 Oct 2007) Dark amber colour, almost mahogany (same colour as the bar actually), frothy beige head. Fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, orange and earthy hops. Fruity taste with dark fruit, orange marmalade and balanced notes of earthy hops in the finish. Some sweetness. Nice beer with a fine english style hop character.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Brownish pale amber, firm head. Rich flowery hop aroma with a touch of grapefruit. Dryish and lightly caramelly. Medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Citric, flowery hops are quite dominant and lead to a finish with light resiny bitterness. The clean mouthfeel leaves a void, the flavours fade too quickly throwing the beer somewhat out of balance. A flavourful American style premium bitter. I’d like more depth in the malt department and less clean crystal malt character for it to work as a warming autumn beer.
