Description
Stable 12 Brewery had a modest beginning, with three beer-loving high school best friends deciding to adopt a new hobby after college, focusing on something they all love: beer. Quickly outgrowing the kitchen they started in, they commandeered a vacant barn at the family horse farm on which they grew up, and began brewing there. It was from this barn that Stable 12 Brewery was born. Whether growing their own hops, updating their infrastructure, or testing new recipes, there is always something new on the horizon at Stable 12 Brewing Company.

Can from Oliver's Beverage Center. Opaque black, ephemeral head fading to ring, light viscosity, no lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, subtle vanilla. Taste is vanilla, pretzel, roasted malt. Smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Yeah, there's some vanilla here and some roast but neither is super strong and this is surprisingly thin.

16 oz can shared by tfontana. Aroma shows super light roast, mild vanilla. Flavor is pretty tame. Seems like the vanilla has fallen off. Body is about normal for the style. It is fine. No can date. Probably past its prime.

Older can. Itβs gone a little bitter at the end but plenty drinkable.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black in the color with a thin cap of an eggshell white foamy head which took it's time to dissipate then leave some light lace
Aroma: dark chocolate, milk chocolate and vanilla/marshmallow-y tones underneath, light espresso tones further underneath
Flavor: leads with the chocolatey sweetness, some roasty tones try to help balance but the beer for the most part stays sweet, light aftertaste of the milk chocolate
Texture: light to medium bodied, some sessionability about it, very smooth along my tongue; finishes very smooth and sweet
Overall: pretty nicely done dessert porter I could come back to.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt orange cloudiness, quickly dissipating semi-foamy head, barely any lace
Aroma: peaches, apricots and plums intertwining to fulfill sour, tart and sweet contours, subtle lemon to grassy tones underneath
Flavor: sour to tart to sweet tones embracing the prior mentioned stone fruits, subtle aftertaste of the peaches and apricots
Texture: light to medium bodied, mostly a sipper, lean stone fruity finish
Overall: a pleasure to have and definitely would return to.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown color with a finger's worth of tan foamy head, the lace moderately sticks to the glass but slides a bit here and there
Aroma: the oatmeal is there, the dark fruity raisin-like smells accomodate nicely, and the normal brown ale qualities ride in underneath for a very nice blend
Flavor: the cookie dough oatmeal portions and the dark fruity qualities mesh sweetly and doughy, barely aftertaste but seemed kinda sweet
Texture: almost medium bodied, just a wee bit under with some sly sessionability about it, sweet cookie doughy finish
Overall: nicely done pastry brown ale. Made for a nice dessert beer and didn't let me feel like I needed someone to roll me into bed
