0,5l from tap at Brandauers Schlossbräu, Vienna shared by a friend. golden clear shiny colour, small white head. smells tobacco, light grains, some ripe fruits, lightly grassy. Medium body, rather bubbly carbonation, sick mouthfeel. tastes tobacco, bread, bit grainy, ripe fruits, light caramel, bit grassy. finishes lightly bitter with notes grass, tobacco and ripe fruits. decent, a bit harsh though, balance could be softer.

Brandauers ist eine Restaurant-Kette in Wien, welche zur Zwettler-Brauerei gehört. Dementsprechend bekommt man in den Lokalen die ganze Palette Zwettler Biere. Daneben gibt es auch ein Hausbier. Dieses ist ein bisschen an den städtischen Biergeschmack angepasst: Ist das Ur- Zwettler für seine herbe Note bekannt, so wirkt das Brandauers Hausbier bekömmlicher und süffiger. Es bietet vielleicht weniger ausgeprägte Aromen, aber lässt sich gut trinken.

Brewer of this beer is a good guess, because they present "co-operation" with Zwettl in their newsletter. Golden color, big white cloudy head. Malty, lightly sweet nose. Medium-bodied. Malty with grassy and leafy hops. Harsh aftertaste, some sweetness. Quite typical middle-on-the-road-helles.
