Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Jet black pour with a medium thin khaki head and patches of lacing. The aroma consists of malt, dark chocolate and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and piney hops. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Good overall.

Draught at Mountain Sun in Boulder, on October 8, 2012A bit hazy copper color, tan head. Spicy herbal scent. Spicy, mineral, some alcohol taste. Spicy aftertaste. Spritzy mouthfeel, fruit pith weird bitterness. Perhaps this is an off-batch? My mate knows this beer from before and sais this pour is strange.
