Tap at Vine Street - an interesting brew here - not entirely saison-like, but good - quite dry and lightly dusty in the nose, with light notes of apple and pear, but otherwise moderately spicy and lightly phenolic - the sour mash adds an interesting dimension to the brew - it is quite dry, with moderate spicy/peppery notes - there is a light fruity character that the sour mash accentuates quite well, creating a strong white wine character throughout - finish is moderately bitter, a little flinty, very dry - the only flaw is that the rice creates a light starchiness in the aroma and flavor that the beer could really do without - refreshing and interesting.

Tap @ Vine Street. Pours a touch hazy, dark orange appearance with a white head. Grapefruit, Ruby Red Squirt, cheesecake, citrusy, somewhat bready, moderately spicy yeasty aroma. Light caramel, spicy yeasty, blood orange, grapefruit, light banana, zesty/chewy flavor. Pretty cool beer.

Tap @ Vine Street. Pours a clear, light orange appearance with a white head. Greeny, herbal, grassy, earthy aroma. Somewhat dull lemon fruity, very floral, spicy hoppy, grassy, straw flavor. Pretty strong in alcohol but I guess that’s what I should expect from this dumb style.

Having this one side by side with the Ciel was quite the experience - while the Ciel had a lot going on with peppery and funky phenols, this beer was much cleaner and brighter - dry as all get out, with crisp, crackery maltiness - there are some phenols present, but there are subtle, adding some flinty/earthy/dusty notes and a hint of pepper - very mild estery character in the finish - so crisp - so dry - so delicious - this brewer keeps improving on Belgian styles - love this!

Tap at Vine Street - was not a huge fan of this one - yeast character was muted, aside from some bright estery notes on the tail end - flavor was mostly toasty grains, with a lot of huskiness throughout - fairly dry, which is good, with a light dusty yeast note, but the huskiness cuts through most of it - meh.

Tap at Vine Street - apparently their first attempt at using Orval yeast, and I would say they did a great job - sadly, my glass was extremely murky, almost milky looking, so the high yeastiness may have muddled some of the brighter characteristics of the beer - however, this sucker had some nice complexity, regardless - very dry - loads of spicy and herbal notes (sage, white pepper), moderate citrus (lemon peel, grapefruit) and a light funkiness - would love to try this a year fro now to see if the earthy/funky notes develop more, but even now this is a winner.
