Tap @ Vine Street. Reddish appearance with a tan head. A bit citrusy, somewhat toasty, caramel malty aroma. Really a lot more citrusy hops in the flavor than I’ve ever had in an ESB. Toasty caramel, light toffee, grapefruit flavor. Pretty good.

Tap at Vine Street - like someone mixed a DIPA with an English Strong - quite a lot of plum, fig and other stone fruit character up front, as well as toffee and caramel - hops arrive late but come on strong - bitter, peppery and herbal - they work fairly well, but my big complaint is that they wash out the maltier aspects of the beer, which is what you generally want in a "winter warmer" - pretty tasty, none-the-less.

Tap at Vine Street - a quite dry, chalky, mineral flavored DIPA, with strong dry, citric and peppery hop notes to compliment this - crackery malt profile also works in it’s favor - a bit of sweetness on the tail end in the form of orange marmalade, but mostly dry and bitter - marginally astringent, but fairly tasty.

Tap @ Vine Street. Black appearance with a dark brown head. Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, roastiness, almonds, and light nuts. Somewhat syrupy/extract-like, rich chocolate, fairly roasty, almond flavor. Not overall a bad beer but I didn’t like the extract/syrupy element.

Tap @ Vine Street. Buffalo Trace barrels. Dark black appearance with a dark brown head. Fairly light whiskey, somewhat oaky, mostly a dark roasty malty aroma with a light note of espresso and char. Somewhat charred, roasty malty flavor with a noted anise, tar, somewhat boozy presence. A little bit of a disappointment, especially with the booze notes.
