Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a slightly hazy light amber color with a medium sudsy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Sticky top ring of lacing with strings below it. Aroma of grapefruity hops and a touch of malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that is very citrusy. Notes of sweet malt and pine as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Decent APA overall.

Medium body with flavors of floral hops, bready malt and some pine. The finish is smooth and malty with a light hops bite. Not bad overall but I would like to try off the tower sometime.

Tap at Vine Street - Saison? - okay - I must say this tasted pretty much like an IPA to me, perhaps with some really light belgian phenols and a touch of estery character - huge, earthy, herbal, woody hop character in the nose - potent bitterness in the flavor, but it is not abrasive in the least - fairly strong sweetness to balance, adding some orange-ish flavor to compliment the hops - dry, lingering bitter finish - quite tasty - I like it a lot, but not as a saison.
