Fuck Yeah IPA is a recent offering at Mountain Sun and is apparently selling quite well. It’s not hard to see why. The aroma is a strange but intoxicating mix of floral hops and milk chocolate, with light citrus notes. The colour is a fairly dark amber. The bitterness is moderate, evenhanded but packs a fairly refreshing cohumulone punch. The malts are as I like them, mainly pale and in the background, as a canvas for the bright tropical fruit hop painting. One to drink multiple pints of.

Hazy light amber colour. Slightly musty aroma but that’s about it. Woody flavour and a fair bit of caramel. Not much else.

Looks like a hefeweizen - all cloudy and tan. The aroma first shows tangerine then gets slightly metallic, grapefruity. Moderate bitterness. Very grapefruity character. Only the slightest, hint of pale malt. A little unbalanced.

Hazy light chestnut colour. The aroma mixes caramel, alcohol and very light apricot. Cherryish notes lead to a light toffee body. A little ale-like, not long lagered. Light body for style.

Cleary but dull chestnut brown. Light aroma has hints of nuts, wood and just the faintest hint of smoke. The body is a bit thin, maybe metallic. Flavour is smokey, but empty.

Very dark brown colour with a low-slung, fairly creamy head. Light coffee aroma with hints of nuts and very faint molasses. Fairly coffeeish character, light roast. A fairly assertive, stouty example.

Cloudy dark straw colour with big, rich caramel-coloured head. Lemony, minty, cherry colaish aroma. Very candyish, sugary, fruity character with bubblegum, cherry candy and a hint of mild rye bread. Not exactly what I was expecting.

A pitch black beer with a fast disappearing head. The aroma is sweet roasted malty. The flavor is slightly sweet with notes of chocolate and coffee.

A pitch black beer with a disappearing head. The aroma is roasted malty with some notes of chocolate - and so is the flavor, but the body is thin.
