Description
We're a Jersey company run by two locals who love our island, a good adventure and a good beer! Our aim is to brew some damn fine beers and spread the joy!

At first, we were pretty much just selling home-brew to a few eager (and maybe slightly too trustworthy) friends, and people we knew with businesses of their own; restaurants, shops and pubs.

That was all on a 100 litre brew kit which was, for all intensive purposes, some very large kitchen pots! Still, in February of 2018 it was enough to launch our first batch of beer, the now iconic Stinky Bay Session IPA, at a beer festival up at Jersey Rugby Club. It went down awesomely, there was a queue of people at the door as it opened, who all made a bee-line for our bar, to try what the first micro-brewery to open up in decades had to offer.

Since then, we've upgraded just a little... and now our brew system is able to produce 800 litres of malty goodness per day. We don't brew everyday though, it rather depends on the how good the weather is! This means we are producing 30,000+ litres a year; that's enough for 1/4 of everyone in Jersey to have a pint of Stinky Bay!

Old rating -The latest brew is billed as a NEIPA by the brewery, but it's nothing like you'd get in New England. It's more of a Session IPA. A 330ml bottle (BB- 06/21) which pours a amber with a small white head, which has a flat look about it, mild carbonation. Aromas & tastes of flora & sweet malt. Good bitter finish. Overall it's decent but my least favourite of the 3 beers they make & somewhat a let down.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#40. BOULEY BAY. Bought this one in a farm shop on Jersey, and drank whilst taking a break from hiking along the north coast of the island. Golden lager, light in character, easy, with an enjoyable sweetness. I didn't have a glass with me in the National Park so drank from the can.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#31. PORTELET BAY. On the southern coast of Jersey, high above the beach, this bottled beer is golden, hoppy, easy, with a hint of citrus. Drank in a beer garden of the Portelet Inn with the best view of the holiday to that point!

Old rating - The first beer produced by Matt & Digby, co founders of Jersey's only operating micro brewery. As you'd expect there is lots of room for improvement, but it was still a decent effort & proved to be a easy drinking IPA. I had a 2nd, 3rd & 4th bottle to really get the taste for it. Very refreshing on a summers evening. Different beer in my home No. 1780

Old rating from June 2019 - A 330ml bottle. Second time I've tried this fairly new beer from Jersey's small microbrewery. This time at home, the first drink of the day your taste buds really appreciate the wheat, orange peel & American hops. A really very good pale ale.
