Description
We're a Jersey company run by two locals who love our island, a good adventure and a good beer! Our aim is to brew some damn fine beers and spread the joy!

At first, we were pretty much just selling home-brew to a few eager (and maybe slightly too trustworthy) friends, and people we knew with businesses of their own; restaurants, shops and pubs.

That was all on a 100 litre brew kit which was, for all intensive purposes, some very large kitchen pots! Still, in February of 2018 it was enough to launch our first batch of beer, the now iconic Stinky Bay Session IPA, at a beer festival up at Jersey Rugby Club. It went down awesomely, there was a queue of people at the door as it opened, who all made a bee-line for our bar, to try what the first micro-brewery to open up in decades had to offer.

Since then, we've upgraded just a little... and now our brew system is able to produce 800 litres of malty goodness per day. We don't brew everyday though, it rather depends on the how good the weather is! This means we are producing 30,000+ litres a year; that's enough for 1/4 of everyone in Jersey to have a pint of Stinky Bay!

Beers of the World country 155: Jersey 🇯🇪

"When it comes to the beer I can tell you that this is not a New England IPA. I would say it’s more like a regular IPA or session IPA. The colour is dark golden with a very slight hazyness to it. It smells of hops and citrus, and taste similarly with some floral notes as well. Not alot of carbonation and a short sweet to bitter finish. Not to bad actually, but when you are expecting a NEIPA it is kind of dissapointing." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Panda at home, thanks to Danlo - Cheers Ed, 02/01/23. Golden amber with an off white cap that settles to a swirl. Nose is dusty fruits, orange peel, grass, pale malts, hedgerow. Taste comprises caramel, stewed fruits, grains, hint of orange, straw, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so affair ... old skool stuff ... sweet edged and lacking hop dynamic.

Panda 🐼 at home big thanks to Danlo. A mostly clear amber orange coloured pour with a loose greyish head. Aroma is butterscotch, toffee, woody pine, bark, chewy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, sticky malts, toffee, butterscotch, pine, hedgerow hops, earthy, maybe a little diacetyl. Palate is sis semi sweet, sticky, moderate carbonation carbonation. Little tired and wishy washy.
