Bottled. Dark black, fizzy head. Sweet with salmiak flavour. Weak extracty malt character. Typical Haus der 131 Bier shit beer and fake labelling. Boycott every beer sold by Haus der 131 Bier until they stop lying on their labels and in their marketing!

(Bottle 33 cl) A Tanzanian/German cooperation about a banana beer brewed on licence in Belgium - a truly multinational enterprise indeed. Pale golden, rather hazy and almost without any head. The carbonation is very high though. Having expected yet another sweet fruit-beer this came rather surprising. Almost no banana aroma, instead you get a dry, slightly sour beer reminding me of.....lambic! Just completely without all the subtle and sophisticated flavours. Very strange brew indeed. 120702

(Bottle 33 cl) Are we really to believe that this was brewed from an ancient, Egyptian recipe? Pale orange colour with big lumps of yeast. Decent head and lots of carbonation. Apparently brewed with figs and dates which I have difficilties sensing. Slightly sour notes in the finish. 130502

(Bottle 33 cl) German version brewed by ??. Very yellow and not completely clear. Weak head. Regarding the flavor it’s very, very soft with some sweet notes and almost no bitterness. 280803

(Bottle 33 cl) A Belgian beer brewed in a Tanzania c-ooperation for a German wholesaler. In truth a multinational project. I’ve also tried a mango-beer from the same co-operation. Dark amber colour with huge amounts of static, floating sediments. Brown head. Palm-extract is probably not to be understood as coconut, because the beer definitely doesn’t taste like it. Slightly sour and has basically no sweetness. Very refreshing and thirstquenching, but also distinctly peculiar. 020204

(Bottle 33 cl) Quite yellow, slightly hazy, with a petite, white head. I think this is an ale, even though it doesn’t say on the label. A bit of an odd beer, a little sour, high carbonation and a dry palate with yeast and a discreet bitterness. The mango might appear in the aftertaste as a vague sense of fruit. But it is very vague! Apparently this is brewed from a Tanzanian recipe and sold as an African beer at restaurants. 021103

Almost opaque black, mostly vanishing mocha head. Lightly roasted, burned sugar, grassy notes. Flavor is roasted malty, slightly chocolaty, bitterish finish. Propably has nothing to do with Benin, but quite good brew.

A hazy deep red beer with an orange head. The aroma is primarily of caramel. The flavor is sweet, yet a little acidic, with notes of roasted bread, but the mouthfeel and power is surprisingly thin for a Doppelbock and for a beer of 7.6% ABV.

The aroma is rich sweet and malty. The color is golden and it has a beutiful bubbly head. The flavor starts out thin, then the malt hits with a good sweetness, that again gives way for a nice bitter hop, that increases for awhile and lingers for a while.
