Slightly unclear amber brown colour, small fizzy off-white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma roasted sweet malts, caramel, liquorice, molasses. Taste light light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, malty, light roast, caramel, brown candy sugar, spicy notes, bit boozy. Medium body, oily to light sticky texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, roasty and a bit wryish, well-balanced, nice effort.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Toasty, chocolately and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark caramel, milk chocolate, a nutty touch of nougat. Taste is sweet-ish and bitter, toasty, caramel malty, minimally chocolately, notes of dark caramel, a bitter touch of burnt caramel, cautious hints of milk chocolate and nougat, some hop bitterness; lingering, bitter finish with grassy hoppy and burnt caramel aspects. Creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft, still minimally prickly carbonation. Well crafted and tasty; a tad slim, narrow mouthfeel, not really mouthfilling, semi-dispersed due to the hop bitterness - quite good overall.

Bottle 30cl. @home poured into a tumbler. Slightly unclear pale golden, good frothy slightly off-white head, dissipating slowly, fair lacing. Aroma wheat, yeast, light lemon, banana, hint of cloves. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, and some light acidity, wheat, yeast, light lemon, bit sugary, spicy notes, retronasal yeast. Medium body, slightly watery texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, cardboard, peppery on the tongue, refreshing, maybe not a real weizen but quite nice.

In de tuin uit een flesje. Hmmm, dit is de Egmonds weizen van 5,0%. Lijkt veranderd dus. Licht troebel gouden kleur, goed wit schuim. Wat banaan in de geur, smaak fris, citrus. Niet zo vol als een hefe weissen uit Beieren, maar zeker niet verkeerd.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 30 Aug 2019) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with peaches, orange and soft malt. Malty, fruity taste with notes of peaches, white bread, orange and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly exciting, but soft and tasty. Quite enjoyable.
