Description
Brouwerij Egmond heeft een licentie met de abdij van Egmond en is het enige Benedictijner abdijbier van Nederland. Na een lange tijd het bier in België bij de Proefbrouwerij te hebben laten brouwen, is in 2018 Brouwerij Egmond geopend in Egmond aan den Hoef.

Bottle from AH. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma is alcoholic, spicy, yeasty, malty. Flavour is malty, some sweetness, a bit alcoholic, spicy, a bit flowery. Medium carbonation. A bit harsh. Slightly alcoholic finish. Not too pleasant.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, some metal, mild floral and rubbery notes as well. Flavour is wheat, mild citrus, some yeast, earth and rubbery notes.

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Hazy yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, citrusy, wooden and mildly malty notes as well. Flavour is fruity, a bit yeasty, some spices and actually quite smooth and thick.

Bottle 330ml.Unclear medium yellow colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, citrus, spicy, coriander, yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration, citrus peel, yeast, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121116]

From bottle @ PRZH Winterbeerfest ’13. Clear brown color. Aroma’s of red fruit, sweet malts, herbal/spicy, caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and with some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied. Finishes lightly bitter.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. has a fruity malty spicy aroma with weak yeasty hitns. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor with weak hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty finish.
