About
Clemens Härle laid the foundation for the Härle brewing tradition in Leutkirch. He bought the property of the Mohren brewery in Leutkirch and build a new brewery which opened in 1897. In the twenties the brothers Carl, Otto and Hugo Härle followed in the footsteps of the brewery founder and successfully continued the business. Then the brothers Karl-Clemens and Hermann Härle headed the brewery for almost forty years. And now - in the fourth generation - there is the founder's great-grandson, Gottfried Härle, who has been running the company with great joy and enthusiasm since the late 1980s and leading it into the future together with Esther Straub.

Bottle 33 cl. 2,1% ABV in my version. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with a white head. Fresh lemon aroma. Light body, lemony tart - quite refreshing. Proper sugar used. But more lemonade than beer. 180923

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orange, amber colour with average, fluffy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Slightly bready, mellow malty aroma, hints of bread crust. Taste is slightly bready, husky, minimally spicy, mellow malty, hints of bread crust, a touch of peanut, subtle residual sweetness, bitter hoppy counterpart, a yeasty fruity touch as well. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Fairly meaty, balanced - nice.

Swing top bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a smallish, lacing white head. Is that a faint smoky note in the aroma? Medium body, malty - and perhaps again a faint smokiness? - before a solid, finishing bitterness sets in. 170723
