Bottle 63 cl Courtesy of omhper. Hazy, dark amber golden with an off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and some yeast. Rather full-bodied with lots of roasted malt, yeast, phenols - and a vague underlying tartness. The finish is rich in alcohol and fairly bitter. 130507

(Bottle 63 cl) Courtesy of omhper. Hazy, reddish amber golden with a creamy, beige head. Fresh, floral aroma. Medium body, lightly roasted malt accents with a vaguely burned touch that doesn’t really belong in an Alt. Dry, hoppy finish. 130507

(Bottle 63 cl) Courtesy of omhper. Hazy, golden with a bubbly, off-white head - quickly dissipating. Fresh, citrusy nose. Medium body with a clean, pale malt base and a dry hopping with a vaguely floral touch. Decent but not even close to being a Kölsch. 130507

Well, it’s not fair to rate this beer after a Kaggen, but the bottle provided by Per opened by itself…
Hazy golden color; thin persistent head, nice lace and perlage. The aroma of malt hop and yeat smells so much Swedish (more soapy than English). Soft mouthfeel, soft malt taste, a lot of sweet caramel, followed by a bold bitterness, some good hops, a bit metallic; Swedish, if you know what I mean. Ok, it’s similar to a homebrew, but the path is correct.

Beautiful hazy orange color; thin head; this bottle finally has a controlled carbonation. The aroma is not much complex, but the flavor is better, with some good malt and surprisingly a very nice smoked touch; good level of bitterness too, good hops. Pleasant.

Courtesy of Per Samuelsson. The bottle was leaking considerably in my baggage, probably for the high pressure inside, because a couple of days later, when I open it, it’s still well carbonated
Huge head (too much); cloudy golden color; persistent fine perlage. Some malt flavor, but dry; it has a Belgian-like hopping, both the aroma and flavor; some yeast aroma maybe; the final is even spicy (coriander) and correctly bitter. Simple but not bad.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, small head. Buttery malt aroma that carries over into the flavour. Malt sweet with medium body. Wonderful, soft, deep mat character accompanied by some light grassy hops. Finishes with medium bitterness. A very refreshing, excellently made beer, taking an overlooked style to a level that I’ve never encountered before outside of Germany.

Bottled. Hazy deep golden, fairly brief head. Powerful aroma of bitter orange marmelade and yeast with a medicinal touch. Sweet and solidly malty, rather spritzy with interesting esters covered in salt. Full bodied with a wealth of grassy hops leading to a long bitter finish - De Ranke XX Bitter style. A daring, unusual brew.
