Karamelliger, gleichzeitig aber auch herber Malzbeginn. Milde Bitterkeit, würzig, dunkle Getreidenoten, rund. Mild hopfig. 9/8/8/7/9/7

Süffiger, hell herb-malziger Beginn. Mild würzig, ansteigende Herbe, nicht zu süß. Zum Ende leicht bitter, minimal hopfig. Gutes Helles mit Charakter. 10/9/8/9/11/9

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, copper-ish, dark amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally phenolic, yeasty fruity and slightly wheaty, malty aroma, hints of banana, a touch of sorghum, whiffs of ammonia. Taste is yeasty fruity, sweet-ish wheaty malty, phenolic notes of banana, a touch of ammonia, some sorghum. Watery texture, indifferent palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite some off-flavours - not my cup off tea.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty and yeasty fruity aroma, notes of apricot and mirabelle. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty, moderately bitter hoppy, minimally fruity hoppy, diluted, rather unspecific fruitiness, yellow stone fruit or the like. Watery texture, dry palate, medium to fine, prickly carbonation. Relatively hoppy, a bit monotonous and watery, rather untypical Helles - not bad.

33cl bottle. A clear deep amber beer with a big off-white head. Aroma of caramelized, nutty and reddish malt. Taste of caramel, reddish malt, nuts, moderate spicy bitterness.

330ml bottle. Minimally milky, copper-ish red, amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mild and mellow, minimally starchy, malty and minimally fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of honey, caramelized honey, a touch of red berries. Taste is slightly dry hoppy, minimally nutty malty, some hop bitterness, very little residual sweetness, a weak touch of red berries and peanut. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. A little bit heterogeneous, disharmonious, no real interlocking of hop and malt flavours, light mismatch of bitterness and maltiness; nice colour, nice mouthfeel - OK.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, dark yellow-ish to orange golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly grainy and strawy, minimally spicy, pale malty and grassy, hoppy aroma, herbal-leafy overtones. Taste is minimally spicy, pale malty, grassy bitter hoppy, minimally mineral, minimally herbal, light citrusy overtones, very light fruity hints of pear and apple as well; increasing bitterness. Watery and minimally oily texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Clean, fairly bitter, some nice subtleties - not bad.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Malty spicy and minimally grassy and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, a touch of lemon, lemongrass, lemon tea, cautious hints of grey bread in the background. Taste is citrusy fruity and slightly grassy hoppy, minimally biscuity and minimally spicy malty, minimally diluted hints of lemon, lemongrass, a touch of nectarine. Watery texture, smooth and minimally dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Light, refreshing, well hopped but not overdone - not bad.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Malty spicy and minimally doughy, yeasty aroma, hints of dark bread crust, whiffs of caraway, light fruity overtones, maybe a touch of elderberry. Taste is mildly bitter hoppy, minimally fruity, slightly malty spicy, weak hints of unripe apricot, mirabelle, maybe elderberry, quite unspecific fruitiness overall, a touch of dark bread crust, caraway, white pepper, light tart-ish aspects. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, somehow tight packed, soft but efficacious carbonation. Relatively rich and complex for a Kölsch, very good mouthfeel, light and fairly refreshing - nice.
