Bottle from station, Tbilisi. Terrible beer really but it does the job on a night train I suppose. Tinny and not clean.

Pours very slightly hazy gold with a large white head. Aroma is hay, butterscotch, malt. Taste is sweet and malty, wheat, grain. 50cl bottle (5,5%) from Market Google, Stepansminda enjoyed at Hotel Kazbegi. Pours clear dark brown, almost chestnut colour, with a fair, off-white to beige head. Mild malty aroma with some lightly roasty notes, dark fruits and hints of caramel. Medium sweet with fairly low flavour intensity and not much bitterness to speak of. Fairly mediocre and watery porter, but still drinkable.

50cl bottle at Hotel Kazbegi enjoyed with views to Mount Kazbek. Pale golden with a white head. Usual pale lager aroma, mild grainy with hints of ripe fruits and cooked vegetables, some citrus too. Not to bad after a hike in the mountains.
