Bottle from Rasputin’s, Ipswich. Distinct treacle aroma on opening, pours a very deep ruby brown with a good head. Caramelised, quite thick and rich. Some carbonation, though head soon disappeared. Quite strong at 6.8% which comes through as you drink.

Appearance: Opaque black color with a small beige head. Some lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate and dark malt.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and light bitter. Average carbonation.
Taste: A bit sweet and light fruity. Chocolate, coffee and some roasted malt.
Overall impression: Nice tasty Baltic Porter. Lovely by the fire in the winter.

330ml Can - Green in colour. Minty aroma. The taste is tangy and basically tastes like beer with some minty toothpaste. A bad idea.

Achtung: Jetzt kommt ein ganz flacher Witz: Dieses Bier hat einen leicht verwechselbarem Namen Utenos, nicht Uterus! Es ist ein einfaches Lager mit ordentlich getreidigen Einschlag. Gut süffig, aber nichts besonderes.

Bottle. Clear pale golden with tiny white head. Aroma is malt, vegetable and cardboard. Flavour is malt, cardboard, grainy, little sweet, little bitter and watery.

Bottle. Pours fizzy, very pale yellow with unstable white head. Sourish, bitter aroma of hop. Doesn’t taste of much, very watery with a bitter note of hop. It reminds me uncannily of Swedish light beer. Definitely not Czech inspired, althpugh it says so on the label. Not anything recommendable.

Bottle. Pours noisy and fizzy, pale yellow with quickly vanishing, airy white head. Distinct skunky and hoppy aroma. Sourish, bitter and watery taste wi a skunky finish. Down to the dregs, me lads!
