500ml bottle from a corner shop in Ashford. OK it wasn’t a shop on a corner, but you know what I mean. Clear pale gold, no head. Not a great aroma, some lemon, not great flavour in mouth either, Some cardboard. Wow this is truly rubbish. Some boiled cabbage. I mean you must try hard to make something this horrible. And I like lager on the whole. But this is not very good. So much cardboard and bad rotting lemons. Ooops.

Amber colored with a thin head. Fruity aroma, light malts, some toffee. Medium bodied. A porter? Really? Light malts, some toffee, with fruit the biggest one here. It’s...not really that good. Regardless of whether it’s a porter or not, it’s not a great beer.

50cl bottle bought in Cambridge. Reddish copper with a short, dense, cream head; the aroma has spicy apples and roasted malts; the flavour matches but is also rather earthy, the apples are sweet and joined by red fruits, the malts are full and also sweet; the finish has some coffee and some light alcohol. Rather pleasant.

Bottle from the Beer Geek. Pours a watery gold with a very little white head. Fruity/grainy aroma. Rather pleasant. Medium body, prickly carbonation. Rather sweetish in a light way. Finish might be just a bit grainy, and more bitter than sweet. Certainly drinkable. Has a funny aftertaste - maybe like overcooked grain.
