Bottled (BB 11/2004) "Porteris"
Dark ruby with mostly diminishing tanned head. Sweet and fruity aroma. Taste is a bit like in Belgian strong ales: sweet, alcoholic, prunes-plums, raisins. Short alcoholic finish. (7/4/7/3/14 3.5)
Re-rated, bottled (BB 06/2007)
Ruby red, nice tan head. Molasses, burnt sugar in the nose. Sweetish with burnt sugar, slightly alcoholic in the finish. Typical - let’s say - upscale Baltic strong dark lager. Sticky palate. (7/4/7/3/14 3.5)

Lager color. Small white foamy head. Slightly sweet and metallic aroma. Sweet malty, hides ABV in palate quite well. Some alcoholic bitterness in finish.

Light to medium yellow colored, with a nice frothy head. A bit on the cloudy side. Smell: beer tent beer. Not really enjoyable, but not horrid. Taste: Nothing to write home about that's for sure. But it's not horrid. Decent mouthfeel, nothing special. Why bother drinking this? I'm not gonna go back to it. There's too much good beer out there to settle for a mediocre one.

Rust tinted dark brown in colour with a normal sized tan head. Sweet aroma of pineapple, roasted malt, raisins and a hint of caramel. A very nice fruity aroma for a Baltic Porter. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavour mixed with some sweet tastes and an alcoholic kick. Aftertaste definately bittered from the roasted malt, but livened by the sweeter nuances. Overall, the beer is pretty good, I prefered my Polish Baltic Porters (Zywiec and Okocim) to this one, but its definately not a bad beer! I bought this 500 mL bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.

Somewhere between Burgundy-red and chestnut. Thick white -cream head. Nose with roasted malt, aroma not unlike puffed chestnut, maize, caramelized. Taste is characterized by excellent balance between bitter and sweet malts. Maize again!! Maize gives some cloyingness. Well-bodied. Nice porter. Maybe not yet a classic, but a very good try all the same. Just a tad too sweet for me, unfortunately.

Rich caramel chocolate aroma. Dark red-brown med fizzy fading head. Rich warming toasty toffeeish chocolate flavor. Med-full body. Lively carbonation. Balanced bittersweet finish. Very bocky, moreso than other Baltics I''ve had.

They make beer in Lithuania? Anyway this was not as bad as I feared it would be. Ugly yellow with a thick white head that didn't stick around too long. I wouldn't recommend letting it get too warm, but it was almost decent right out of the fridge. Lightly bitter and hoppy, with a somewhat sour aftertaste. Even so it wasn't as hard to drink as most beers of the style.

Dark red-brown. Fruity and malty. A good example of bottom fermented Baltic Style Porter. Less overwhelming and alcoholic than some Polish porters.
