Description
Welcome to one of the most beautiful places in Stein.
For 14 years we, Rik & Lonneke Brouns, have been able to run a beautiful company here, De Fontein Brewery. A craft beer brewery and catering company in which taste experience and Limburg hospitality are paramount. We are in nature, we work with nature. Fruit from our own standard, herbs and fruits from our own vegetable garden, honey from our own bees, we use all of it. Will you come enjoy the beauty of the seasons with us? We produce more than 40 different types of speciality beers. We brew a variety of seasonal beers, where possible using ingredients we produce ourselves while taking account of classic beer flavours.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Hazy medium golden colour, good frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, light lemon, apricot, bread, yeast. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, citrus, apricot, yeasty notes. Medium body, creamy buttery texture, soft carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, solid blond, nice.

Aroma of malts, a little fruitiness, ’gagel’ spices. Flavour is malty and spicy sweetness with a little bitterness in the finish. A bit dull.

Aroma of malt, fruit, apples, caramel, toffee, some spiciness. Flavour is malty caramel, fairly sweet, with a light bittersweet finish. Acceptable, but too sweet and too little character.

Fruity aroma of lemon and eh... lemon. Otherwise watery. Flavour is more lemon, light sweet. Drinkable and refreshing, but doesn’t amount to much.

Aroma of pale malt, grain, some sweet fruits, some hop. Flavour is moderate malty sweetness with a moderate bitter finish. I enjoy the bitterness, but otherwise this is not a very memorable beer.
