Welcome to one of the most beautiful places in Stein.
For 14 years we, Rik & Lonneke Brouns, have been able to run a beautiful company here, De Fontein Brewery. A craft beer brewery and catering company in which taste experience and Limburg hospitality are paramount. We are in nature, we work with nature. Fruit from our own standard, herbs and fruits from our own vegetable garden, honey from our own bees, we use all of it. Will you come enjoy the beauty of the seasons with us? We produce more than 40 different types of speciality beers. We brew a variety of seasonal beers, where possible using ingredients we produce ourselves while taking account of classic beer flavours.

Glass at the brewery, Amber red beer, medium head. Aroma is malt, caramel, dark/red fruit. Taste is the same some sweetness and bitterness. nice one.

Glass at the brewery. Black beer, medium/small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, some liquorice. Taste is the same. Bitter dry aftertaste. Very nice one. Maybe served a bit too cold but once you let it warm up a bit, nice one.

0,33l bottle at home as part of Euro Local Swap courtesy of bierkoning, big thanks. BB 02/2016. brown cloudy color, small off-white head. smells of caramel, yeast, spices, peppery, tobacco, plums, average smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of spices, caramel, some sweetness, tobacco, some dark fruits, plums, light bananas, light yeast. finishes lightly dry with notes of caramel, plums and spices. hmm, rather average beer, drinkable but not too exciting.

Gift from bierkoning, thanks! Staying foam.nose of Belgian yeast. Hazy yellow colour. Taste Belgian without adding anything.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hopy aroma. Perfumed. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. oily palate.
