Bottle from the Boutilliers online shop. Appearance - black and opaque. Beige head. Nose - dark chocolate, dried fruits and peel. Wood spice and coconut. Taste - chocolate, coconut, raisin and a boozy wood note. Palate - full bodied, dry woody finish. Overall - good but more potential than now. It may well soften up in the bottle over a year or two. Now it's quite woody and dry.

Bottle split at the Autumn Watford tasting, picked up from Docker in Canterbury, 24/09/21. Murky dark orange to amber with a decent beige cap that escapes edgeward. Nose is dark fruit rinds, coffee bean, spice, toffee fudge, tonka. Taste comprises fruit cake, chocolate, light spice balance, coffee grinds, brown sugar dusting, figs, dates. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid coffee laden affair.
