GABF 2002: med amber, nice head. Nice citric hop aroma. Flavorful and balanced. Strong hop flavor with plenty of caramel malt balance.

A fair bit of hop. Almost sour, although that may not have been deliberate.

As black as I've seen on a porter, quite smooth, and powerfully roasty......

Aggressively bitter. Interesting citrus taste, from continental hops? Sure, what the hell.

Storm clouds gather over waters stained with the blood of man. The winds howl, hops evoking the frozen forests of Fimbul winter. Giants stalk the land, the snow crunching under the weight of their hoppiness. There is no moon. Everything is silent in the stark, bitter night. Sweetness a mere memory, The Immortal has come for your soul.

Cloudy amber appearance. The aroma is piney, lightly fruity. Fairly chunky bitterness (go Chinook!). This is balanced by sweet and toasty malts. Plays the American ESB theme straight down the line.
