Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

$2.06 bottle, Total Wine - Short Pump. How do you follow up the best beer you've ever had? With a beer I can't imagine I'll like, that's how. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is lemon zest, beer-tent beer. Flavor is sweet grass, corn, sugar water. It's not horrendous, but this is like corn syrup and water with some grass and grain mixed in. I would never buy this again.

Sampled from a can this beer poured a murky yellow color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet watermelon and faint citrus. The flavor was sweet watermelon, honeydew and a hint of citrus. Long finish. Medium body.

Pours dark brown with reddish hues and a brown head. Aroma of rum? dark malt and chocolate. Taste is refreshing with very dark chocolate, and toasted malt notes. Palate contains nutty flavors as well as subtle earth notes. Good.

Pours a dark soda color with dark mahogany highlights and a beige head with decent retention. Minimal lacing. Molasses aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. The added vanilla taste is a nice compliment to the porter. Tastes much like a brown ale. Decent roasty finish. Light alcohol front end with a light chocolate & vanilla finish. 6.0% ABV is pretty well hidden.
