12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 12/19/2016. Pours hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, wheat, cracker, light honey, light pepper/clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus, ginger, pale malt, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, wheat, cracker, light honey, light pepper/clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, peach, pear, wheat, cracker, light pepper/clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of citrus, ginger, pale malt, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, fairly creamy/grainy, and slightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a very nice shandy style. All around nice robustness and balance of citrus, ginger, pale malt, and light fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Very flavorful for the ABV, and not overpowering on the ginger like I expected. Still tastes like a wheat beer and not a ginger ale. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle, looks like witbier. Odd fruity aroma. Lots of co2 is first impression, then the watermelon sticks its head up. Yep, watermelon fer sure. A little better than most watermelon beers, but its somewhat below average for a shandy.

Kroger bottle. Pours color-colored with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, somewhat nutty. Flavor is nutty, metallic, brown leaves. Something seems artificial - perhaps its that hint of chocolate candy.

Bottle. A- Vomit, watermelon candy. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Watermelon, creamy, slightly sweet. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- A bit off smelling and tasting. Not near as sweet as I would expect it to be. Drinkable and not terribly artificial tasting but I’ll pass on drinking a future one.

12 oz bottle from the winter variety pack. Aroma is grainy, caramel, bready, toasted marshmallow. Pours dark dark brown with red highlights and a long-sustaining one finger beige head that laces a bit. Taste is lightly sweet and toasty, minerals, faintly tart hint of berries. Perfect creamy mouthfeel. Pretty tasty for one of my least favorite styles.

12 oz bottle from the winter variety pack. This one must be out of retirement now. Aroma is floral, cereal grains, grain, generic beer. Pours clear new penny copper with a reducing white head that laces a bit. Taste has a slight hoppy bitterness and a light malt sweetness; crisp, clean and refreshing. Damn, this is pretty good. It reminds me of a craft pilsner like Pivo or something. They better keep it out of retirement. It’s so much better than the majority of their offerings.

Roasted grains, coffee nose. Cola black, medium khaki head. Coffee and pecan. Light body, moderate carbonation.
