12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown (almost black), with a dingy tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Strong scents of chocolate and caramel, with undertones of peanut butter. Taste is medium-sweet with flavors of unsweetened chocolate and herbal hops. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a thin texture. Finish is slightly astringent and fades fairly quickly.
Overall, not too bad. I just wish the chocolate flavor was a bit stronger and the finish was a little sweeter.

Pour is a very dark brown with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is a decent toasted and cocoa malt. Smells like a brown ale. Flavor is and a nice helping of cocoa a rich malt and some bitter bakers chcocolate towards the end of the swallow. The label said there is fruit added but I did not get anything noticable. This was a pretty solid dunkel, lots of rich malt flavor without being watery.

12oz bottle someone left at my house. Because that’s what you do when someone leaves a crappy shandy at your house, you pawn off all but one and tick the last one. Pours a clear amber with frothy, off white head. Nose, yeah, it has cranberry, but really just some muddled berry, cheap malt, not much else. Flavor has the same, the cranberry is more distinct here - but not in an authentic way, cheap malt, some candy, perhaps some crystallized ginger. Finishes too spritzy. Just not good.

Clear dark bronze pour with a khaki bead and fair retention. Decent lacing. Taste is malty and sweet with a good caramel flavor. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Excellent American style Oktoberfest!
