Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

Bottle @ home, found at the back of my parent’s fridge. Dark brown appearance with a fluffy brown head. CIB-style, olive, green tomato, twangy, boozy nose. It smells fucken bad. Rich, goopy, and thick mouth feel. Very sweet, tart fruity, caramel, tannic flavor. More veggies in the mouth. Thick and boozy. Maybe this one has gone downhill. I certainly didn’t intend to keep it for a couple of years but I’d think it’d be fine for the style and being refrigerated the whole time. It’s nasty now, though.

12 oz can @ a party, 7/18/15
For why this is trying to be, it works pretty well. Much closer to orange juice in flavor than it is to beer, but it drinks nicely and is quite refreshing. Go into this looking for an orange flavored Shandy and you will come out happy.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a white head. Aroma is pretty much grapefruit. Near med body. Flavor is like somewhat diluted fresh grapefruit juice. Not a bad drink, but hardly exciting, complex, cutting edge.
