Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

Pours a light hazy yellow from a can. No doubt about it, this is a grapefruit shandy. If you’re looking for something else, get something else. I thought it was mighty tasty and refreshing on a hot humid day.

Pours a hazy yellow from a can. Aroma of a true ginger ale, maybe some lemon. Flavor is kind of like cleaning solution. Meh.

Bottle. Pleasantly surprised by this. Ill admit I was attracted to the label at first, then put it back when I saw who made it... then picked it up again when I decided that 14$ for a 4-pack must be for something. Nice chocolate and coffee malt aromas and flavors. Just enough cherry to compliment. On the strong side, which is nice, but not boozy. Very nice, esp as it warms up a bit.

On tap at Gilligans. Pours a near clear amber with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has earthy grain and earthy pine notes with a good amount of grass backing. Flavor has a pine and grass combination with a sweet bread backbone v

On tap at Kegs for K9s. Back to with Curious Taveler, this one wins. Aroma is light lemon, medium body, and good small-bubble. Taste is nice easy drinking lemon.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/15/15
Aroma: The nose is strongly grapefruit juice, in fact, that's pretty much all I get here
Appearance: It pours a murky/cloudy yellow color with a thin white head and some light, spotty lace
Flavor: Tastes sweet/light tart, pretty much just grapefruit juice and some notes of lemon zest
Palate: It is quite easy drinking, with average to lively carbonation, and a rather refreshing overall feel
Overall Impression: For what this is it actually works pretty well. It is not all that beer-like, but if you want an ice cold (best temperature for drinking this one) grapefruit juice-like radler-like drink, it does that pretty damn well. I can't believe I'm rating this as high as I am...
