Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sour, tangy macro lager. The flavor was sour and bitter and a bit skunky. The finish was long, bitter and almost vinegary.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured an extremely pale yellow color with a medium soapy white head. The aroma was sour, tangy macro lager. The flavor was sweet and tangy with an element of rotten fruit. Not good at all.

Bottle. Syrupy sweet barley aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Corn syrup sweetness with barley malt flavor and a moderate hops finish. A bit too sweet but otherwise okay.

500ml Bottle picked up from the ’Dodgy Deli’ on the Cowley Rd, Oxford. Pale golden in colour with a white frothy head. Many of the Eastern European particularly Baltic countries lagers have that very similar soft easy going hoppy flavour about them and this is one of them. Quite gentle on the hops, sweetish with the malts, hops are always there but no sharpness or bitterness at all Quite nice for the style.

Bottled(500ml). -How come nobody tried this beer, especially because it`s mentioned in Glover`s The world encyclopedia of beers. Clear golden coloured, big white head, malty nose. Nice aroma of malts and hops with slight herbal notes. Dry bitter finish with nice hoppy aftertaste. Above average Lithuanian beer.

Bottled(500ml). -just another boring and bland Lithuanian lager. Aroma is malty with hints of corn and hay. Of course flavor is also sweet...

Bottled(500ml). -This isn’t ESL for sure. The best Kalnapilis I’ve tried in Lithuania. Sweet malty and hoppy flavor but this time sweetness is well balanced. Nice hop character with mild alcohol notes.
