Tap at Galerie Piva Vršovice. Murky darker orange-ochre body, yellowish head. Lightly kveiky-tart aroma, tropical and peachy notes, lactoae Dry dry taste, lightly chalky ending bitter. A soft baloon of fruity notes (kveik esters partly it seems, but also some hoppy touches, tangerine, coconut?) emerges again, but is soon gone, leaving a light bitterish, chalky finish. Light lactose in the finish. Interesting, but not entirely my cuppa kveik, the body being largely at fault.

Patchwork is a pretty sporadic project it would seem. Operational since September 2017, yet this appears to be their seventh beer / batch, the last one having seen the light of day back in 2019. So it's particularly cool to try it, especially looking at the concept. On tap at Dno Pytle, it was pitch black in color, with an off white head. Fruity, sweetish aroma, banana-like. Some rum residue? Okay sweetish taste, a roasty touch that's not particularly thrilling, light chocolate touches and some alcohl. Lean in general, very much warming - it shows its 12.1% quite a bit. All in all, great to catch this rare beast, but as a beer, it's not there with the top of the pack.
