50 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 08.05.2014
Aroma has english toffee and some hops. Flavour has lots of toffee typical to English ales, some grassy and English hops. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Typical English Pale Ale – which still isn’t my favourite style.

50 cl. bottle poured in to a weizen. Nice pitch black colour in the tall glass with a creamy, light tan head. Rather unusual aroma for a dunkelweizen: Smoked malts, coffee, chocolate and liquorice, some yeasty notes, where the wheat beer shows. Taste is sweet and "smoked". Medium body with a creamy texture. Average finish with smoked malts, hops, coffee and chocolate. This beer is an odd mixture of styles, weissbier and a good, smoked porter. Challenging the styles can sometimes be a good thing, sometimes you probably should not...

500 ml bottle. Almost black body with a medium sized beige head. Nice aroma of roasted and smoked malt with a hint of cured meats and liquorices. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, moderate bitterness, coffee and some liquorices. Body is medium plus with a decent aftertaste. Quite pleasant, nothing outstanding, but in this case this is just nice.

Bottle, 7.0%. Roasted aroma, hint of smoke. Black colour, seems unclear. Small tan head. The flavour is very roasted with a good smoke note. Late, distinct bitterness. Good mouthfeel. Resembles Limfjordsporter tremendously.

Black with a big and lasting briwn head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, smoked and tar. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Dry and roasted light bitter finish. Soft. Strange combination, but it works for me. 300712

Bottle, 5.0%. Hoppy aroma, citrus, dust, hay. Cloudy orange colour. Good frothy white head. The flavour has citrus and hay. Grainy like a good rustic German zwickel.
