Can, 32cl. 6.8% ABV. A dark brown beer, clear-looking and with a small, dense, light tan head. The aroma has a touch of cooked vegetables, but coffee grit dominates. Some chocolate and prunes. It’s quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Full body. Prunes, some lightly sour berries and quite a lot of coffee in the flavor. Roasted, coffee-ish finish with prunes and a faint metallic touch. A quite decent one, but nothing impressive. 131123

Canned at Changi Airport. Clear pale golden, rich creamy head. Fruity grassy nose with a whiff of boiled vegetables. Sugary sweet with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Sugar, ripe fruit and slight grassyness. Fairly low bitterness.

Canned (6.3%) at Changi Airport. Pitch black with rich firm beige head. Resiny coffee aroma. Dryish with oily mouthfeel and medium body. Resin, crude oil and molasses, together with coffee. Bitter somewhat metallic finish. At least this is three steps up from the dreadful Indonesian version.
