Bottled. A pale yellow-golden beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet malty with some notes of grain and hops is it Halletaur? The flavor is sweet malty and grainy and with a nice fresh hop note - again my guess is Halletauer, leading to a quite bitter and refreshing finish.

(Bottle from Systembolaget) Clear golden color, fluffy orange head. Sweet malty scent. Sweet, grainy and alcohol taste. Medium mouthfeel, big alcohol bitterness.

Grainy aroma followed by multiple sweet, malty flavors make this an above-average, enjoyable beer. Nothing outstanding in appearance: Fizzy head that diminishes quickly atop an amber body. Robust aroma of grain, nuts and caramel. Flavor is even more robust, mostly sweet and mildly bitter. Average carbonation, comfortable palate. Medium body. Very nice.

Bottled. Bronze colour, dense head. Aroma of buttery malt covered in grass. A wealth of sweet buttery malt,dried outby grassy hops. Potent and malt driven,soft and dense. Lingering bitter finish. Excellent bock!

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent mostly lasting head. Amber colour. moderate malty light hoppy aroma. nice but slightly alcoholic. Powerfull bitter flavor with nice notes of licorice. Average finish. Creamy palate. nice beer.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is alcohol, malt, fruit, caramel. Flavour is sweet, caramel, roastiness, fruit. ok.

Bottle. (1990 vintage) Even though it had been inside the bottle for 17 years, it still poured clear. Not much carbonation though, but with a dark brown color and a small off-white head. The nose had a little bit of oxidation, as well as malt, caramel and a little roastiness. Most of the hops had vanished from the flavor, but there were caramel, malt and beef-stock enough to make it a pleasant drink. Medium body and a finish with caramel. It has been a while since I had a fresh sample of this one, but as far as I remember, it was better lagered.

This time, a fresh bottle, at least not after the BB-date. Clear, quite sparkling, copper body, and a dense, off-white head that diminishes but lasts, and leaves nice lacings. The nose is a bit more grainy and alcoholic than I prefer, with some caramel and hops. Even a little fruity-sweet hint. The flavor is a bit alcoholic as well, at least to my standards for a dunkler bock, followed by grain, caramel, hints of dried fruits and fruity and resiny hops giving it a pronounced bitterness. Full body, slightly sticky feeling when it goes down the throat. The finish is rather bitter, but the fruityness, grains and a little alcohol from the aroma and flavor follows you to the very end. I would like it more sweet tasting, and not so resiny bitter, but it is a fine beer. Rating: 6-4-6-4-13-3.3 (070829)

Bottle. Clear medium to dark yellow color with a small fizzy fair lacing white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate metalic.

Hopfig-herber Antrunk, sehr malziger Unterton. Die Herbe wird etwas schwächer, der Hopfen dafür um so kräftiger. Dennoch ist das Bier gut ausbalanciert und sehr süffig.
